🟢What is E-Shram Card ?
The Government of India has launched a new scheme called e-Shram Portal Scheme for the welfare of workers and laborers in the unorganized sector. The e-Shram Portal has been launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Ministry of Labour and Employment of India has launched the e-Shram Portal to track and collect all the information and data about the workers and laborers in the unorganized sector.
The collected data will be used to launch new schemes, make new policies, create more job opportunities for the workers and laborers in the unorganized sector. The Ministry of Labour and Employment will provide a Unique Identification Number (UAN) card to those who apply for the e-Shram Portal. Candidates who want to apply for e-Shram Portal registration can apply for the CSC Seva Kendra. Candidates can also self-register on the e-Shram Portal using the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card.

🟢Who are the workers in the unorganized sector?
- Agricultural Laborers: Small farmers, farmhands, sharecroppers.
- Construction Workers: Masons, helpers, carpenters, painters, plumbers.
- Domestic Workers: Cooks, cleaners, gardeners, drivers.
- Street Vendors: Fruit and vegetable sellers, small shopkeepers, tea vendors.
- Rickshaw/Auto-rickshaw Drivers: Individuals engaged in public transportation.
- Fisherfolk: Those involved in fishing and allied activities.
- Weavers/Artisans: Individuals engaged in handicrafts and traditional arts.
- MGNREGA Workers: Those working under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
- ASHA/Anganwadi Workers: Although often counted within government schemes, they are sometimes categorized under the unorganized sector if they do not possess other formal benefits.
- Migrant Workers: Individuals who move from one place to another in search of work.

- In case of accidental death and permanent disability, assistance of Rs. 2 lakh for one year.
- In case of partial disability, assistance of Rs. 1 lakh for one year.

🟢Documents required for e-Shram Card
- Mobile number should be linked with Aadhaar number
- Aadhaar card
- Bank passbook

🟢Who can apply online for e-Shram Card?
- People who work as workers and labourers in the unorganized sector are eligible to apply for the e-Shram portal.
- Should not be a member of EPFO or ESIC
- Should not be an income tax payer
- Should be working in the unorganized sector
🟢How to register for e-Shram Card?
- To register for e-Shram Card online, first you have to go to the official website https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/self
- There you have to click on Register on e-Shram link
- After that you will open Self Registration page
- Here you have to enter the registered mobile number in Aadhaar card and send OTP.
- After that the registration dashboard will open in front of you.
- Here you have to fill all the details correctly and submit it as per the last, after that you will complete the e-Shram Card online application e-Shram Card download.
